MIROSLAV ILIEV

Miroslav Iliev is Chief Executive Officer for Rila Solutions EAD. Dr. Iliev is responsible for strategic planning, managing the day to day operations of the company.

Prior to joining Rila Solutions Corp. Dr. Iliev was the Senior Research Scientist at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 1985 to 1998. From 1979 to 1985, he was a Software Engineer at the Central Institute for Computer Technicians.

In various positions, he has taught extensively at the Technical University in Sofia, Bulgaria; the University of Manchester, UK; the University of Bordeaux, France; and the RWTH Aachen, Germany. He was a member of a development team of Bulgarian National Strategy in Information Technologies.

Dr. Iliev has spoken at various conferences and written in numerous publications. His areas of interest include software engineering, formal methods, parallel processing, and distributed systems. He is also fluent in English, Russian and Serbocratish.

Dr. Iliev holds a Ph.D. in computer science and a Ms.C. in electronics from Technical University, Sofia. He has also studied at the Popov Technical School.

VESSEL GAGOV

Vessel Gagov serves as the Chairman of the board and acts as the Director for Business Development of Rila Solutions EAD for the last 5 years. He has over 20 years of professional experience in the implementation of IT solutions in various areas of industry, service sector and administration.

His professional career started in Software Programs and Systems Corporation (SPS) where he began as a systems engineer with IBM. Later he headed the local IBM office (Technical Support and Services for IBM in Bulgaria – TSS) as a Director.

Vessel Gagov was one of the first to introduce Management Information Systems (now better known as ERP) packages in Bulgaria, initially adapting Zenith’s PCS and later implementing IBM’s COPICS. He also was the country manager of Seitz, the company that brought SAP to the Bulgarian market.

During his career he has focused on marketing and financial aspect of management. He has graduated a Diploma program in Management with the Open Business School of the Open University UK. Vessel has lectured marketing in the management courses of the School of Management with the New Bulgarian University, a partner of the Open University in Bulgaria. For the last two years Vessel Gagov was a part time lecturer in the Master program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information with the Sofia University.

Vessel Gagov holds a Master degree in Economics and Informatics from the Economics University of Sofia. He has graduated the English Language Grammar School in Sofia.

VLADIMIR ZLATKOV

Vladimir Zlatkov is Finance Director for Rila Solutions EAD. He is responsible for the financial reporting, treasury management, fund raising as well as liaisons with tax authorities, auditors and investors.

Prior to joining Rila Solutions EAD he has extensive experience as auditor working with the world leading consulting organizations and as finance director for some of the eminent Bulgarian IT companies.

Vladimir Zlatkov is member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in UK. He is fluent in English and Russian.
